History of the Bicycle
T he
bicycle was first called
Celerifero.
S ince
man drove it by first time, the
Celerifero,
people started to enjoy the excitement of new way of
transportation, since until the memorable times
whether use the own legs.
E ven tough
its name ended up
"Bicycle", by
the XV and XVI centuries, it were heavy and
complicated vehicles of two, three and four wheels,
activated by cranks, levers and other devices.

P rocessor
Piccus’ research - from the University of
Massachusetts, USA – shows that Leonardo Davinci
developed plans for the first bicycle by chains
transmissions registered in a code of about
700 pages, kept by the Museum of Madri.
But
the History of the bicycle started to be recorded in
the year 1790 when the French Conde Sivrac,
idealized
"Celerífero", a wooden primitive 2 wheals vehicle, linked by a
type of wood bridge, looking like a horse, activate
by alternate pulses of the feet on the ground.
T he first
modernization started in 1816, when the German Baron
Kari Friederich Von Drais adapted a steering handle
on the celerifero. With the first handlebar, the "Draisiana"
appeared, vehicle used by Von Drais to travel
from Beaun to Dijon, France, reaching the speed of
15 km / hour registering the first bicycle speed record.

models of Drais were characterized by a series of
accessories.

in the
"Museum of Munich"
in Germany.
